Flax is a raw ingredient that can be used to make different things in Myth of Empire. It is only collected and grown to then be turned into Linen, Coarse Cloth, Woven Cloth and Silk Cloth, which are very usefull for all kind of crafting. You need a Spinning Wheel for that. Once you hit level 9 you are able to craft all you need. Press “P” to open “Crafting & Recipes” and unlock “Weave”.
Flax can be obtained by collecting plants around lakes, rivers and on the coast of the ocean. You will get grass the most, but now and then a bit flax, wildflower, locust and different seeds. To be most efficient, you should craft a sickle. It makes collecting easier for you.

Another way is growing your own flax. As mentioned above you will have to collect plants to get seeds. Farming can be very helpfull to get a regular income in crafting materials for medicine and food.
Once you got seeds and reach level 16 you are able to craft a crude planter and farming tools. Press “P” to open “Crafting & Recipes” and unlock “Cultivation”. Check out this farming guide for beginners to learn more!
